Our goal is to create and support projects which foster girls’ and women’s interest in STEM and entrepreneurship, develop their scientific and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, build their professional networks. In 2018, we are creating linked online educational programs for a range of age targeted groups, aimed at raising participation and awareness of STEM and Entrepreneurship careers and education.
The future of a prosperous Australian economy depends on ensuring that enough of our industry leaders are building a STEM workforce. It is important to identify and celebrate current STEM role models in science and research, entrepreneurship and corporate leadership to inspire school-age girls to become STEM Role Models for the future. It's not enough to simply write about these role models, but to bring them alive through video's and an opportunity to interact.
When parents and the wider community do not understand the types of STEM careers or STEM education available, they are unable to help guide their children. Creating an educational program for children (girls) and their parents creates a stronger foundation from which girls can thrive in the STEM space. Our range of holistic online STEM educational programs, targeted for Australian females from 5 years - 18 years are specifically aimed towards raising participation and awareness of STEM and Entrepreneurship careers and education.
Announcement regarding the Australian Government WISE Entrepreneurship program Grant awards in late January. International Earth & Space Technology have proposed the design and delivery of a globally connected, holistic online STEM education programs targeted for Australian females from 5 years - 18 years. These programs are specifically aimed towards raising participation and awareness of STEM and Entrepreneurship careers and education. A feature of the online educational programs will be the availability of linked programs designed to give parents tools which also target raising participation and awareness of STEM and Entrepreneurship careers and education for the parents as well as the children. These educational programs will include a mix of educational activities, goal setting exercises, competitions and age targeted interviews with high profile international female and male STEM entrepreneurs and professionals.
